7th Grade World Geography and Montana History

Geography class takes place during the first 3 quarters of the school year. We learn about the geography, history and cultures of every continent but Antarctica. Montana History takes place during the 4th quarter. We begin with prehistoric Montana and finish with the open range, cowboy culture and the early reservation years. Along the way we study the explorers, fur trappers, missionaries, gold rushers, ranchers, pioneers and soldiers that came to Montana, and how they changed life here.
