Dear Arlee Parents and Guardians -
Wow things are moving fast! Students and staff are hitting stride and seem to be settling into our new way of Covid life. I hope the same is true for all of you as we enter October. Next, thanks to all of you that have come out to support our fall athletics. It means so much to all involved and I hope to continue to see you all.
We are currently wrapping up homecoming week and I wanted to give a quick shout out to all the nominations for king and queen. Kings nominated were as follows: Colt Crawford, Micah Johnson, Sam Phillips, Tommy Tanner. The queens nominated were as follows: Halle Adams, Mia Arlee, Shannon Haworth, Sara Schall. At the time of writing this letter we have not yet crowned the winners. Congratulations to all!
On October 29th we will wrap up our first block of school. Please continue to check your child's
grades and reach out if you need anything. All staff are here to help. There is a parent app for
smartphones that can send notifications for attendance and grades. Details to be sent in a
follow up message. For more information, contact the IT department.
In the world of high school sports, State Cross Country will take place on October 24th in
Kalispell. District Volleyball will be held in Deer Lodge on October 31st. Please visit our website
to see a full schedule of sporting events this month. ( www.arleeschools.org )
MAP, short for M easures of A cademic P rogress, is used to measure a student's progress or
growth in school. They are important to teachers because they let teachers know where a
student's strengths are and if help is needed in any specific areas. Teachers use this information to help them guide instruction in the classroom. The junior high will start testing the
week of October 5th and freshmen and sophomores will be testing starting October 12th.
Need extra help? Starting this month the high school will be open the following Fridays from
9:00am until 12:00pm to give students a place to work: October 9th, 23rd, and 30th.
Note: Arlee schools will not be in session on Thursday, October 15th due to teacher in-service
days.
