Hello , welcome to Counselor's Corner!

As most of us know by experience, it's hard...sometimes even impossible, to learn and be happy in school if you're having a hard time with friends, family, health, teachers or other concerning issues.  That's why Arlee Elementary has it's own School Counselor.  In the classrooms I teach skills to help cope with life's ordinary and extraordinary challenges.  In my office I work with individuals, small groups and families on specific issues of concern.  At recess, lunch and in the hallways I support kids in getting along and feeling better in whatever ways I can so they can get on with the business of learning, laughing and growing.

Since parents and other relatives are far more influential in children's lives than one counselor can ever be,  I love supporting parents on any issues that may be affecting your child's well-being.

Please don't hesitate to call and discuss something by phone, or better yet, make an appointment to meet with me in person.  My schedule can be tight but I'll always find a way to fit you in.

As counselor for K-6, I spend time in both buildings and can sometimes be hard to track down.  So, to reach me by phone your best bet is to call x2239 on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Extension x2212 is a better bet for Tuesdays and Thursdays.  If you need to reach me urgently, tell that to whoever answers and ask them to track me down.  Urgent or not, I'll always make every effort to return your call the same day I receive it.  Since I have one email address (for both buildings) I'm sure to get your message in the same day, no matter which building I'm in, so email is a great way to reach me.

Please let me know, in person or by email if there's anything you'd like to see added to Counselor's Corner.
