School Closure

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Arlee Schools will be open Monday, March 30th from 7 am to 11 am for student material pickup. Please pick up your child’s school materials in their respective school buildings. We will have limited staff available and ask that you do not use this time to socialize. We need you to get in and out as quickly as possible. You may be asked to wait outside so we can limit the amount of people in the building at one time. Again, Arlee schools will be open for students or parents to pick up student’s supplies, educational items and materials on Monday, March 30th from 7 am to 11 am, report to your student’s building.

Coronavirus District Procedure Letter from Superintendent

Dear Staff:

The administrative team has met this morning to discuss a plan of action. As we all know, this is “uncharted waters.” Please be patient and continue to watch your emails for updates. This is a fluid situation and things will change and move on a daily, hourly and minute-by-minute basis.

No one is allowed in the buildings. The administrative building is “Command Center” and will have a person available to answer phones Monday-Thursday from 8 am - 4 pm. Please do NOT come to the building. You can call extension 5 if you have any questions or concerns. All school activities are cancelled through March 30th. Prom is postponed until further notice.

LUNCH: Lunch will be provided to our students. Trish and her team will be preparing lunches to be delivered via bus route. At this time she has her limited staff and does not need additional help. If she does, she will let you know. AGAIN refrain from coming on campus.

TRANSPORTATION OF LUNCH: Mike is in charge of transporting the lunches. Lunches with the next morning's breakfast will be delivered via bus routes. He will be contacting people for help. Please do not contact him.

CLASSIFIED STAFF: The state is going to continue to fund public schools. Therefore, you will still be getting paid your regular hours. Do not panic! The administrative team may call you to come in and work as things develop and change, but as of right now, stay home unless you hear otherwise.

CERTIFIED STAFF: At this point you will not be required to provide education. All high school and junior high staff please finalize your grades and post them. Val and Jamie will close the window on Tuesday the 25th.

Sincerely,

James A. Baldwin, Superintendent
