A reminder about cell phones from our student handbook:
The possession and use of cellular phones, pagers, and other electronic signaling devices on school grounds, at school-sponsored activities, or while otherwise under the supervision and control of District employees is a privilege.
Elementary and Middle Schools:
Students in grades EL-8 are prohibited from using cellular phones and other electronic signaling and listening devices on campus throughout the instructional day.
These devices must remain turned off and out of sight except:
In cases where prior approval from a building administrator has been provided due to exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to the student’s medical needs.
Middle school staff may request approval from a building administrator to use devices as an instructional tool during the class period.
Unauthorized use will result in the following consequences:
First offense results in a verbal warning from the teacher
Second offense the device will be confiscated/picked up at the end of the day from the school administrator.
Third offense the device will be confiscated and given to the administrator. Parents or guardians will be notified to pick up the device and the student will be required to turn the device into an administrator daily for the remainder of the school year.
Tutoring is available to all junior high students daily from 3 :45 - 4:45 in the High School (Ms. White’s room)!! Weekly eligibility has started, keep those grades up so you can participate!!
