Congratulations to Karma, Dainian, Ava, and Shy on winning your elections for students council! We will meet this Tuesday, September 8 during lunch to discuss homecoming and other events, along with the class reps-Sharon, Tyler, Vicki, and Aaron/Kylie. If you are a teacher that runs a student group, please notify Mr. Alberty who your rep is as well.
Wednesday, September 9 in the lunchroom there will be a meeting regarding a community grant-money that has been given to Arlee to make it a more enjoyable place to live. They want YOUR feedback as students on what that money could be used for, so please show up if you have ideas for how Arlee could be made better for kids. Jenn and Alberty are both offering extra credit to those in attendance.
JUNIORS & SENIORS – COLLEGE & CAREER FAIR
On Tuesday, September 29th, Juniors and Seniors will have the opportunity to attend a College & Career Fair. We will leave at the beginning of the school day and return before 4th period.
The fair will feature nearly 100 colleges, universities, career organizations, military branches, and other professionals. Students will also have opportunities to win prizes, including a $1,000 scholarship.
If you are interested in attending, see Mr. Cordier for a permission form and registration card.
Students who want to join the Arlee Indigenous Student Association (AISA) need to stop by Ms. Jenn's classroom for a permission form. Parents need to sign the form before you can be involved in the club. For information regarding AISA, please see the flyers hanging up in the hallway or contact Ms. Jenn. The first official meeting will be held next Wednesday, September 9th at lunch in Ms. Jenn's classroom.
